What is for…Dessert? >> Durian Chendol

We had this in Melaka when we visited the Jonker Walk… Chendol is a common local dessert, however, this one taste really weird … This dessert is saltish-sweet and it’s just a very weird combination … I’ve tasted Chendol back in Singapore and it doesn’t taste this weird…

Are you curious about what people around the world have for their meal?

Well, I’m sure am! So I’ve started a Challenge for foodies (and everyone else, as long as you eat!). It’s called “What is for…”, you can find out more >>> here

  1. alibb, I just read an article about a young man who died from drinking milk after eating durian. Does this sort of thing happen often? The article said it caused “poisoning worse than a snake’s venom!”

    • I’ve heard pf this one too… I can’t tell you to what extend these might be just hearsay … but I’ve seen my dad doing this (drinking milk tea after durian) for a few times… He is still living. LOL. Also we have durian milk/milk tea.ice cream here… so yeah…

Anyway, both milk tea and durian aren’t the most healthy food… :p Both have high sugar content… but are both delicious
