We have always had the traditional Christmas tree among which some were created putting together bamboo sticks and stuff.
Last year I decided to honour our dead fig tree. This fig tree yielded year in and year out but we saw it dying for reasons unknown. That was the year when we had our first party for seniors from an old age home and thought this was ideal to depict bringing life to the old.
We decked it up with everything that a normal Christmas tree gets, lights and all. The colour theme was blue and white and against the black dead tree everything stood out. The whole view of the tree was far better than what I could get in this photo.

We do not but all the trees in our city are decorated with lights.

That was a wonderful idea. I do not have enough Christmas lights to decorate outside but you did give me an interesting idea about decorating a palm tree
I am quite lavish when it comes to decorating anything here at Christmas time (lol)
We always used to decorate different trees while the children were still in the house.
This tree we decorated had some art in the way the branches stood out We do not do this as a rule
