Maybe this picture isn’t exactly right for this challenge. When I saw this house in Arboretum Park, I didn’t know what it was supposed to be. The first thing I thought of was the bird feeder. When I took a closer look at the house, I found that it was a bird hatchery.
The garden can be home to many birds. If we want to help them, we can install bird hatcheries in which they will make nests and raise new offspring. We can make the bird hatchery ourselves or buy it. Bird hatcheries must be made of sufficiently thick wood to provide sufficient insulation. Various plastic, ceramic, or hatcheries made of other materials are inadequate and do more harm than good. Place the bird hatchery at a height of 1 to 5 m and protect it from predators.

Providing shelter and nesting places for birds is a good thing to do! We have to care for and respect nature!
You are right. Unfortunately, too few people are aware of this.
I have also seen it in the way so many dogs have been dropped off here at my house or lost in the woods. It’s pityful.
Looks beautiful and it’s great for the birds!
Thank you, Ellie. I think the birds are very happy about this “home”.
I have never heard of it. In my country we also have an Aboretum Park.
What a coincidence that you have a park of the same name. Hatcheries are also rare in our country.
what a great concept! I love it when people come up with solutions to the changes to the world we have made. No trees, no problem, make a hatchery!!!
Thank you. Some people are aware that they need to take care of nature and animals.
it is such a critical thing, without nature my walks would simply be sidewalks and houses!
This is great. I have never seen a bird hatchery to be honest.
Thank you. I also see them very rarely.
Yeah , we have two similar kind of in our garden
That’s very nice to hear.
How cool! I need one of these in my backyard.
Thank you. You are right. You are visited by many birds and I suppose you would be very pleased with such hatcheries.
Before I was remodified, (in a wheelchair) I made similar hatcheries from “free pallet wood”. I also started bee apiaries which I serviced, doing my bit for the pollinators of the world.
I am sorry for your health problems. You took very good care of the birds and bees.
Thank you, Vidocka,I have very rich and wonderful memories to colour my world with.
It’s very nice to hear that it hasn’t crushed you and you’re still enjoying life.
