The great catastrophe that struck our planet 65 million years ago was not the only one in Earth’s varied history. Geologists have listed several similar major events that have caused major life extinctions. A similar catastrophe hit Earth 250 million years ago, at the end of Perm. At the time, an estimated 95 percent of all species of living things that lived in the sea and 70 percent of those that lived on land suddenly became extinct.
Based on these results, scientists have put forward the bold hypothesis that the extinction of dinosaurs 65 million years ago caused a collision of about ten kilometers of a comet or asteroid with Earth. But no one knows the real cause.

The extinction events of the past are a warning for tomorrow. They can happen.
Humans can survive such a massive climatic shift, but we will lose many other animals around us.
I actually created an application when I was a teacher, my class created an interactive dinosaur application (that I company bought from the school system). The kids spent hours and recreated the sounds of dinosaurs.
They didn’t even realize that I made them read, do art and focus on what was possible the whole summer!!!
You are right. Many are unaware that humanity can also “disappear”. I believe your app was very interesting for your students.
it really was, we were so proud. I got an award as a teacher. They handed me a check for 500 bucks!
(i found out they had sold the application and idea to a software company for 50,000 dollars later, that made me really sad)!

under US law all employees that use the time of their employer do not own the resulting work.
it was created during school hours so they owned it.
The superintendent did apologize to me, but at that point I knew i was going to leave teaching.
Dinosaurs might make a comeback in the future.
