Vitamin C does not only serve to strengthen the immune system, it promotes the absorption of iron and calcium, it helps against allergies, facilitates weight loss, is important for good vision, and it has been established that people whose diet contains a higher amount of vitamin C are three times more protected than developing arthritis in a relationship to people who do not consume enough of this vitamin.
Although this is the first tool in the defense against viruses and keeps you from colds and other diseases, excessive intake of vitamin C can be extremely harmful to your body and highly toxic to you.
Symptoms that occur in hypervitaminosis are often burning in urination, diarrhea, intestinal gases, abdominal pain, rash and nausea.

I think it is best to try and eat healthy enough that you don’t have to take too many supplements.
Eat fruits and vegetables that have a lot of vitamins
The food should be varied because the body also needs carbohydrates and proteins
I agree with you….
It be a sure cure for the scurvy, yar!
Thank you for the information.
Scurvy was the bane of sailors for centuries until someone discovered vitamin C was the cure…
Very interesting post, thank you so much for sharing these facts!!! Sure that abuse of any vitamins can be harmful.
Thank you for following me.
Thank you for sharing the facts about Vitamin C.
Thank you for following me.
You are welcome since part of my diet is to take vitamins that have vitamin C.
A friend just told us that he uses vitamin c if he gets stung by wasps. I had never heard of doing that before but he says it works wonders to alleviate the sting effects. Yes, too much can certainly be harmful, but generally vitamin c clears from the body very quickly.
It is very useful, but there are rare cases when much larger quantities are entered.
Everything in moderation is always my rule.
That’s right, Carol.
For the first time I hear that Vitamin C can be harmful
When entered in excessive amounts.
