Vitamin C …

Vitamin C does not only serve to strengthen the immune system, it promotes the absorption of iron and calcium, it helps against allergies, facilitates weight loss, is important for good vision, and it has been established that people whose diet contains a higher amount of vitamin C are three times more protected than developing arthritis in a relationship to people who do not consume enough of this vitamin.
Although this is the first tool in the defense against viruses and keeps you from colds and other diseases, excessive intake of vitamin C can be extremely harmful to your body and highly toxic to you.
Symptoms that occur in hypervitaminosis are often burning in urination, diarrhea, intestinal gases, abdominal pain, rash and nausea.

  1. A friend just told us that he uses vitamin c if he gets stung by wasps. I had never heard of doing that before but he says it works wonders to alleviate the sting effects. Yes, too much can certainly be harmful, but generally vitamin c clears from the body very quickly.
