A debate rages on among writers, authors, the public, and the publishing industry about who true publishers are. Who should be publishing etc. But what I want to know is who you prefer to be publishing, as a reader? Do you think it matters? Do you have a preference? Your opinions matter to us. Answer the poll or tell us with a comment at the end, we’ll read them.
We at InUPress are a hybrid as we support and traditionally publish authors depending on their choices and circumstances, with our beginning as an indie self-publisher due to dissatisfaction with performances with a traditional publisher.
You could say we’re growing into the industry as it progress and changes.
So go ahead and enjoy, inform us as well as others on your opinions.

This is interesting to see votes come in.
The question of Self-publishing received a higher response rate with the overwhelming votes of 100% ‘yes’ cast in answer, on that question in support.
There are 75% saying no and 25% saying ‘I don’t care’ to supported publishing.
But a good number of you also support hybrid publishing with 100% of cast votes for ‘yes’ in answer to that question.
Traditional publishing has weak votes cast in support, with only 50% supporting with ‘yes’, of the votes.
While, Indie publishing had responses with ‘I don’t care’ winning out at 75% in their answers.
Keep the votes coming and comments. I look forward to reading more. Though so far I’d say many of you support self-publishing and detest supported-publishing. Could you tell us why?
I really don’t care who has published a book if it achieves high production standards and is, of course, something that interests me. Unfortunately much of what I’ve seen come out of self-publishing is poorly edited and sloppily assembled. I know this puts many people off considering self-published works.
I see this issue as well, though there also is work from self-published authors that meets or exceeds traditional publishing standards.
It is a game of roulette sometimes when acquiring a new authors book.
I’ve seen traditionally published work that was firestarter material to be polite as well.
Difficult enough to answer those great question, Kenneth. You know me… haha…
No worries Albert, thanks for reading.
Pleasure is mine, Kenneth
Good poll, hope it helps. I took it even though I am not a writer, I do have friends that have published.
Thank you, Kim, I appreciate your response. Keep on reading.
