Our Europe package tour had Brussels included.
Our London stay was a fiasco. We landed there during the week-end when most of what we wanted to see was not accessible specially the Buckingham Palace. I so wanted to watch the Trooping the Colour. We did whatever we could and managed to get a few memories.
We had to literally run for our train the Euro Star that would take us to Brussels from London. All our frustrations were forgotten when we took our seats inside the train. The thought that we were travelling under the sea was too much for me. The Euro Star was using the 31 mile Chunnel Tunnel buried inside the water – the longest in the world

We spent only a few hours at Brussels but the sun was still shining till late into the night. We did look around a bit. The tour conductor remembered to show us that famous statue the Manneken Pis. We also saw that building from where the architect who built that structure jumped to his death as there was something amiss with that building
I bought loads of Belgium chocolates which was my main shopping the entire tour of Europe.
I even got to dance at a restaurant where there was a group that was singing and dancing to the tune of some guitars.
We took a bus to Rotterdam.

With Eurostar I never drove. I just went to the ferry, dear friend
It was just the thrill that I took a train that went through a tunnel dug under the sea.
That must be a special experience … I’ll be driving once

I don’t think I’d want to travel in the Chunnel Tunnel. I would love to visit England and see my high school chum who lives in London.

Yes, I have been to Brussels via Eurostar, but that was when the trains left from London Waterloo and not St Pancras. I am booked on a trip to Berlin in October and will be using Eurostar for the first part of the journey. Given that St Pancras is the London Terminus for trains from Leicester, I will at least be saved the inconvenience of having to cross London!
For me just the thought of being on that train was exciting enough considering the train was running through that tunnel under water.
You make it sound as though the tunnel is a tube surrounded by water! It is a tunnel bored through solid rock, up to 250 feet (75 metres) below the sea bed.
