Dawn
This is a common bird in the Asian regions. It is called as you see from the title of the post The White Cheeked Barbet also called the small green Barbet. This beautiful bird makes a peculiar noise. It is more hear than seen. It hides among the thick foliage of the trees and lives on berries and tiny insects.
The birds is about 16-19 cm long. It carves out its nest in the trees. During the mating season the calls become loud and long. the lay about 3 eggs in a season and their hatching period is 14-15 days. They pair stay together for more than one mating season ornithologist say.

This bird visits our garden and sometimes from a distance I mistake it for a parrot because of its colour.
Maybe because of green color, but this one is kind of small.
