The Ocean It has played a very important role in the poetry of the world and it has done so since the very beginning of poetry itself. One can easily see why. The ocean — is both calm and wild, it is beautiful and it is treacherous it is made of mystery and it is abundantly stocked with contradictions.
A poem about the sea can never only be dedicated to capturing the heart of the ocean but is often also a metaphor for human trauma and passionate love, it is so many other things too. Hardly a culture exists in which the ocean has not played a role in it at some point, providing a setting that, at times, is both widely universal as it can be intimate and personal. Not surprising then, that poetry about the sea takes many shapes, ranging from a simple thought of the sea to an intricate reflection of our own lives. I share this inspiring tale, through music and voice.

I have been greatly inspired by the ocean and the sea when writing poems.
Yes, me too, Sandra. The poetry I post on a poetry website is mostly about the sea.
