Love ItLove It

That Was Odd

Perhaps it means that I have been here too long, or I have no memory. I saw a title that interested me. It was an old one but I really wanted to know what it said and why I should be scared. So I opened it and read it. It wasn’t until I was all done reading it that I realized I had written it!

Now I have to wonder what else I have written and forgotten about. I wonder how many of my opinions may have changed.

  1. I know exactly what you mean. I have all my work past and present saved on my PC. I have found articles that I wrote a long time ago which I can use but need a lot of work and I cannot believe I wrote some of them. The poetry I first started posting online got great reception but I hate most of those poems and I don’t know if I will ever try to improve on them.

  2. Many years ago I wrote a poem called “The Last Known Painting of Skyler Blue” and it was published in a journal.

Two things happened to me that makes me laugh now.

The first was someone at an event I was at, used a line from my poem, to argue against my point. The other person didn’t know who wrote the line. It was hilarious to see the look on their face!

Then when my wife and I were doing poetry readings to each other, I found this poem, and read it to my wife. I didn’t realize that it was The Last Known Painting of Skyler Blue, I never checked the title.

Needless to say my wife still laughs about being “force-fed” my poetry!

  3. We tend to forgot if we wrote a post a long time ago and then come into it and it looks familiar or we get to the end and find out it is something we wrote. That happens. You probably have a lot to deal with that you forgot all about it.
