Yesterday, while I was working some kind of group text was going on with my extended family members. I didn’t have time to scroll back and even find out what they were all planning and doing. I am suppose to have the phone turned on as a back up for work. So I responded “I am not sure what this is, but I am working.”
Finally, I had to turn off the phone. Then I hear the house phone ring. My brother comes down and says they are at work and cannot answer your dumb questions.” I guess my sister had called him.
So I let work know they would have to use the house number and I have not turned my phone back on. I will probably miss the party, or dinner or whatever it is they be planning, and I am find with that.

Lovely is an interesting word for this.
My mobile number has long been included in many groups and still but in the last few years I have not read anything from all groups.
I really don’t love my phone.
I tried to use my phone as needed, aside from avoiding sinking into the gadget.
I do not like the group text option at all and never use it.

I am sorry, I don’t have a cell phone. Seems like you have a great point though, you were at work. no calls, texts, etc should be done unless on your break.
I have to have a cell phone, nothing else works.
