When Android 9.0 Pie was released in 2018, Google indicated that working in a “darker” manner on mobile phones extends battery life. With the release of Android 10 in 2019, Google has added “dark mode” and allowed developers to integrate this option into their applications.
Why? Because all the white, blank space on your cell phone screen requires more power and consumes more battery power. Turning on a black background saves battery power.
Also, the use of a black background has potential health benefits, as some research shows that this mode allows less strain on the eyes, especially when the environment is dim. So we remind this option to those who have not tried it before.
How to activate black screen background?
The procedure described below may vary depending on the device you are using. However, these are the basic steps you need to take and should not be difficult.Go to Settings and select Display. Find the “dark theme” option here and slide the switch to On.And that is that.If you have trouble finding this option, use the search on your mobile phone to type one of these terms: “dark theme”, “dark mode” or “night theme”.After activating this option, the background will change from white to black.

Thank you so much for the helpful advice.
You are very welcome, my dear!
it is a great addition to the OS. i would like to see Apple embrace the same thing.
Yes, it is. Well, maybe some day…
they have it on airplay (when you connect to a projector) just not native on the actual phone.
Very interesting, but I will not use it, I will try to use the mobile phone less.
That’s a good idea! I agree with you.
Every now and then I switch to that mode in order to preserve the battery. Its mostly when I am not near my charger
Yes, that should save your battery.
I tried it on an app in the past, but for some reason the dark mode is not appealing to me. I would give it a try once again to see if it’s better for my eyes.
It’s difficult at first, but later it gets used to.
I tried the dark mode but I wasn’t comfortable with it. I love the light and the cheer it brings all around. But I guess I will give this another try to save my battery.
I also love the light and don’t use the dark mode but I think it would be better for my eyes to try to.
