The Jeddah Tower which will soon be the tallest building in the world will be seen and is expected to be ready by 2020.
It is facing several issues that has slowed down its progress but despite this it is expected that the 3,280-feet-tall (1,000-meter) Jeddah Tower, in Saudi Arabia, is expected to be opened in 2020.
What used to be the tallest building so far The Bruj Khilafa in Dubai will soon be replaced by this wonder. Its height is more by 236 (72 meters)
While the link below will give you further details I was fascinated by the fact that it will have 252 floors. I was imagining getting to the top floor and looking down. I know I will not able able to do it as I have fear of heights.

This obsession with building tall buildings is biblical.. it has started from tower of Babel.
In other words not all what is in the bible needs emulating ??
It’s an exaggeration. I certainly would not go to the top of this building or live in it
This is a craze with the world. Almost all countries go for such buildings.
Oil money is really doing wonders for those countries.
They do take the trouble to do up their country
I don’t even know why they build such tall buildings..so I wouldn’t feel comfortable but I’m not afraid of heights
They just compete with each other and want to be placed I suppose in the Guinness book of old records (lol)
I agree with you … it’s just about prestige, dear Grace
Thanks for the share. As I know it was proposed to be 1 mile high but then revised to 1 km.
They have the money to squander. I did not know they had the plan to have a mile high building.
As, The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is a tourist attraction. Like that they want to make Jeddah a tourist hub so they have different plans for that. So, building a 1 Km tower is part of that plan.
I don’t understand why there should be such tall buildings! I don’t like them!
Same here but that is kind of a feat they want to achieve.
