Here’s the original photo of the flower for my previous post in the challenge “What color do you think I am”.
The Latin name of this flower is Trachomitum venetum, and it’s subspecies of the sword-leaf dogbane (Apocynum venetum). Apocynum venetum is considered native to northern Asia and Southeast Europe: Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Yugoslavia, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Siberia, Central Asia, Iran, Iraq, Cyprus, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, and Japan. The blooms have a cool pinkish color. I noticed it looks a little bit purplish on my computer screen than in real life and on the camera screen. Hopefully, your screen has better settings than mine. Interestingly, the Latin and Bulgarian names of the plant contain the word “blue”. How would you call this color? Does it look like what you guessed?
