I was raised in a very religious family. Sundays were different than from other days. Sunday was a day that we didn’t go to work, we attended church services and we rested and spent time together as a family. We wouldn’t go to the store, because that was causing others to work.
We always had roast for our main meal, because it was simple to prepare and didn’t require much “work”. Looking back it was truly a day of rest and worship. This is not a tradition I have in my home. However there are some parts of it that probably should be as I see them as valuable.
So today my choices will reflect that.
1. I will do nothing that require others to work
2. I will rest, I will set aside some time to give my body and mind a rest.
3. I will drink 1/2 gallon water
4. I will take all my medication
5. I will spend time with my sister.

Do do different things? Oh my goodness what a mess I am.
I find some time each day to rest if only for a few minutes. And yes things are different now than years ago.
If I’m inspired I just keep working on the project and the rest comes after completion!
I usually have a Sunday rest day … so they taught me in my youth
I struggle with days of rest. It is really hard.
