Most of you know how lilies look But this one is different. It looks more like a double hibiscus but has other characteristics like that of a lily in that it springs from the ground.
My husband and I were visiting my sister who lived in a village. We had to walk a distance through a narrow lane to get there. At a slightly higher level I spotted a tiny house with loads of these flowers blooming. I requested my husband to go up there and ask them if I could have a plant. They willingly offered it to us.
This was several years ago but each year we get these flowers around this time it takes me back to that day

There are always pictures in the archives that we can share. This is interesting. It may be due to pollination
This plant yields each year. There are two flowers in the garden now.

Those cluster of petals on a lily is quite rare too.
