This picture was taken some eight years ago. My husband and I sat by a small river and watched the sunset. There was not a word spoken, we were just drunk with the magic of the sunset and the beauty of the river. This is one of those pictures that brings up memories , brings alive all the sights, smells and feel of that moment each time I see it.
The smell of fresh grass and jasmine flowers from a near vine was so strong in the air. We watched the tiny fish jump up and play as we sat side by side . I remember that I could hear myself breathing and I tried to hold my breath.
Magical moments like these which cost nothing are priceless. The diamonds and gold that come as gifts pale in significance in moments like these.

That’s a magical capture indeed!
Thanks Ellie, I am happy that this post came out before the color changed., even if it is 5 days later.
Waiting is very frustrating, but days/challenges don’t really matter, people can appreciate good posts any day of the week. 🙂
i do wonder sometimes about the magic of any specific moment. Sometimes we don’t realize the magic until we, looking at the picture realize what we left behind.
The magic of this moment was so real to me, I have a very special place in my heart for this picture. 🙂
i have many like that, some of them I didn’t realize until afterward!
Hmm.. maybe I need to look up pictures of some special moments like these.
i know i have done so, and found an even more magical connection
How would that be? Please tell me.
Pivotal things in the world happen through events and special moments.
You put that so well, thank you.
Like you, I will also be drunk by the charm of the situation there.
Nice to meet someone who is in love with nature.
I am lucky my wife is not too jealous.
What a beautiful photo, it is definitely magical.
Carol, I knew you would like it.
I have many pictures where many moments come to life. There are magical moments that take a person’s breath. And they are a gift to us from nature.
Well said Lacho, they do take our breath away and are indeed gifts of nature.
