For today’s challenge I have chosen a dragonfly picture. They are beautiful and interesting, but at the same time, fierce aerial predators, with powerful jaws with teeth, with a 360 degree view due to the very large eyes and capable of extremely fast flight. Dragonflies are one of the first insects to inhabit this planet. Adult dragonflies are characterized by large multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong transparent wings, sometimes with colored patches and an elongated body.

Great shot, I don’t see too many dragonflies these days, maybe I wont see many until it starts to rain.
I did not know that they could go underwater. A lovely picture I love watching dragonflies their wings always glitter in the sun
They are underwater in the nymph and larval stage, not as adults. They are wonderful insects.
I did not know that about dragonflies. How interesting!
The first stages of evolution of a dragonfly take place underwater. The larval stage of dragonflies lasts up between two months and three years.
Great capture; I had no idea!
Most of a dragonfly’s life is spent as a nymph, under the water’s surface.
