Agreed, the foreground should generally be sharper than the background…
That would be a great idea to add more spice to the artwork.
it helps differentiate the two, gives the eye somewhere to focus
Since you have more knowledge of art work than I have, I will take your word for it.
It depends on how flashy the character wants to be ..
conversely, how flashy do you want it to be?
Funny, this piece reminds me of Biology class in high school.
