Rainbow Carrots (2019-07-26 14-52-15_01)

Evanston, Illinois
Nikon Coolpix P7700
The photo was taken at the Whole Foods store at 2748 Green Bay Road, Evanston, Illinois. I’m not exactly sure what the purpose of these carrots are. They taste just like regular carrots. Maybe they are more nutritious. I have no idea.
Editing was done using ACDSee Ultimate 2019. I cropped the image a bit and adjusted the lighting, increased the contrast and clarity, reduced the saturation a bit, sharpened and adjusted the levels.

Very cool carrots Gary. You can make anything look good. 🙂 Never had this type before.
Thanks, Carol. I appreciate it.
I have eaten similar carrots and my memory serves me right, the flavors were subtly different.
I can’t tell the difference but my ability to taste food is not good. It would have to be a huge difference for me to see it.
Back in the whole foods independent days (when we called them Whole Paycheck) they were always trying to have “unique” food items.
🙂
We get a lot of our produce from Imperfect Produce and they have these from time to time. A lot cheaper, though.
Whole paycheck is a lot cheaper now than it was. But it is still high!
True. There’s one in my neighborhood but I seldom go in it. I was only in this one so my wife could use the washroom.
we go from time to time for their specialty grilling combinations. They have good Lamb that we can’t get in our local Grocer.
Never ate this one , but i ,ll try it
I don’t taste much of a difference.
With all the genetic engineering anything is possible I have no idea if they are better than the usual carrots.
Actually these aren’t GMO.
A short photography lesson huh
