This week is pink in Kim’s crazy color challenge 2020. Here is my picture of pink dahlias for the challenge. I remember when I was about 5 years old there was a craze for making flowers out of scarves (just by folding them) and wearing them like a hairband or to tie up your hair in a pony tail. I would always ask my mom to make dahlias with my scarves and use them as a hair bands. I had loads of pink scarves because I liked pink.
The craze lasted for around for a year or two and I had collected so many sheer silk and muslin scarves. Tulle scarves were a craze and I guess I had a few dozens of those as well. When the fashion had died a quiet death my mom dyed the scarves in the tie and dye style and that was another fashion trend.
I did not follow any follow any fashion trends later in my life, even in my teens. I wonder where there craze for following fashion trends in my childhood had gone.
Even today I don’t follow fashion trends I wear what suits me best and what is comfortable. There was a time when I wore wrap around sarong style skirts because they were so comfortable, but they also were in fashion around that time. It was a happy accident.
Now, I think I can trace back my love for flowers, especially dahlias.

Very pretty flowers ….. just to fix you on the challenge … this week it’s orange, dear Dawn
LOL I just realized that after reading Carol’s post. My bad. Thank you dear Lado for that gentle reminder. I have posted the right one today.
There’s nothing wrong with just knowing, dear friend
Nope , no problemo. Only thing is that again Virily has not approved any posts.
I saw that he didn’t approve of any of your posts …. did you write to them, dear Dawn?
Yes, six are pending from yesterday and this morning. It is annoying to say the least.
I’ll wait for the fall to take pictures of the beautiful dahlias.
We have them all around the year. But they are better when the rains arrive.
So very pretty in pink, I rarely follow trends. I have my own.
Nice to hear that, So you are a fashion creator.
I love dahlias, the patterns of the petals are exquisite, not to mention the many colors they come in. I like the pink the most. Great shot here. You are no stranger to photography either!
They do come in a wide range of colors and color combinations. I enjoy taking pictures of them.
