My pomegranate bonsai is finally blooming after a couple of years. I raised the plant from seed and didn’t expect it to bloom so soon. I was thrilled to see it putting out tiny buds. Sadly the buds are all falling away. I wonder why.
I am just hoping that next year it will give me some fruits. Not for the sake of fruits themselves but for the looks of them.
I have always dreamed of having a pomegranate bonsai and have killed four plants already. But them I realize that victory comes from learning from my mistakes. Each time I failed I have paid more attention to how I do root pruning. I have made some progress with this one.

Beautiful bonsai. I have to try bonsai growing once
It is an addiction be prepared for it.
A pomegranate bonsai? Oh, how wonderful! Shouldn’t you get an award for that or something? It’s a gardening miracle!
Pomegranate bonsais are pretty common, In fact I have been seeing them in the shows for more than two decades now.
LOL. Shows how much I know. It’s only been a few years since I really started paying attention to bonsai trees because one of my daughters expressed an interest in them. I also have a friend who has a blog about them. I think all bonsai trees are a miracle!
To a newbie like me a bonsai is hard work that transforms a tree into a miracle in a pot.
Congrats. Bonsai is not a child’s play.
No, it is not, believe me, but some youtubers make it seem like child’s play.
After all this is a virtual world. There is no way to check their statements (lol)
Hmm.. the world runs on faith.
We live and learn. Beautiful photo here.
I guess learning is the only part of our life that never changes.
I love bonsai and love pomegranate, but do not grow it.
The mother plant is a 15 inch pot , I have kept it under 3 feet. The bonsai is 20 com tall. It is easy to grow a normal plant if you are in the right weather conditions.
I tried to get trees, from pomegranate seeds. Unfortunately, they grew tall and very thin and then dried! But I will not give up and I will try again. Do you have any advice for me??
Seedling always grow tall and slender you need to prune them to get a better root system.
