Poll: Showers and Baths

In many places in the developed world, we take things for granted and many of these, we don’t even think about. For instance, there are plenty of places where being able to take a warm shower is a luxury. It may not seem like a big deal, but it is just one of many things that aren’t available in poorer places. • Not really. In some places, a lot of people bathe multiple times a day. In other places, a weekly bath is most common. In still others, bathing consists of swimming in a river because there is no running water and water transport might be very difficult.

    • That is true. Even in places where water is abundant, there is no good reason to waste it. We have a lot of good, clean water in the Pacific Northwest, but that isn’t a reason to squander it.
