When I talk about how pigeons multiply and drive away the other birds people do not seem to understand what I am saying. Most often I hear them saying ‘but they are nice birds’, or ‘poor things’ or something to that effect.
Pigeons in small number are controllable and great to watch but when their population increases it becomes a battle for survival. They seem to drive away all other birds. They dirty the surroundings and the smell is unbearable.
While I liked what I saw at the park I realized that none of the other birds were there in the park anymore. I was really saddened by this realization.
Here are some shots I took a coupe of days ago at the park.

Gorgeous photos, but a crazy view. Pigeons, seagulls, sparrows, etc. tend to grow their populations at a crazy speed.
Sad. I think this is really a bit too many pigeons.
I never see them but I see doves and blackbirds.
Personally, I love pigeons. I enjoy watching them and feeding them However, here in Florida I have not seen any.
I childhood m I had a lot of pigeons
I bet you really love them. 🙂
Our pigeons are in good agreement with other birds!
That is great to know.
There were many in our country too … now crows appeared and they fired pigeons … I still prefer pigeons like crows
Yes, crows too have this nasty habit of chasing away other birds.
I like pigeons. I’m not sure if they are banishing other birds. Although many here in the parks there are other birds with which they eat together.
I really wish it was true.
