The elderly neighbors across the street are moving soon. Either into a nursing home or with family
She has incredible gardens and just last year was working in the gardens. Then she took a turn for the worse after a surgery and pneumonia. Her husband is not well, has dementia that is progressing. Both in their 90s.
I have many beautiful memories of sitting in her garden drinking tea. She always showed me something new in her garden. This lovely white peony was stunning. They will be missed.

Sorry about them leaving. One of our neighbors went into the nursing home years ago. I do have a neighbor that calls and checks on us all every few weeks or a month. Great neighbors are a treasure indeed.
It happens in life, I hope they are with family now.
Don’t they have children, Carol?
I am glad you have become their best friend before they move soon. That beautiful peony is the witness!
Yes they have children and grandchildren. A large family. Thanks, the moving van left a few days ago.
i know this is hard for you and I am so sorry. Memories are there and will be treasured but separation is painful.
Thanks Doc. The u-haul left last night. I think they are gone.
hoepfully you will be blessed with great new neighbors!
Hope so but those will always be her gardens.
yes, the master always owns the creation. Perhaps the new owners will love and understand that gift!
That is a very beautiful flower and such wonderful memories. The apartment building my mom and I lived in NYC was almost all full of retired Latvians. These lovely people sure could party. Life was gay for a while and then it was sad to see them get ill and to die.
Thanks, I have many memories to keep with me as they leave.
I lost my neighbor two years ago. I learned a lot from her.
Oh wow, we have so much in common, it was two years ago losing my neighbor and I miss her dearly.
What a coincidence. I was thinking before that we have a lot of life experiences.
So beautiful, I love peonies! It’s hard to say goodbye to close people.
Thanks, it is very hard. Some are like family.
I do not recall such a loss at the moment.
That is happy to hear. Enjoy your day!
