Our answering machine

Our antiquated answering machine gave up last week. It has given us a good service over the years. It is very convenient when we are all out of the house and someone would call. At least the answering machine can receive the message of the caller.

But now we are still thinking if we need to buy a replacement. It was good with the answering machine when there was no cellphone yet. Now the landline phone is not much in use because almost all of us are using the mobile phone that calls are also directed to the mobile as if the landline is not being used anymore. It would seem to be a waste of money to install an answering machine that has no use anymore.
