That was our first foreign trip. It was at Christmas time and least did we know what was in store for us. Every mall in Singapore had signs of Christmas with carol singers greeting you. There were discounted sales as well as free gifts.
The most striking of all was the Orchard Street decked up as can be seen from the image. It was a veritiable paradise, a sight for sore eyes.
I have great memories of Singapore as being a clean, well disciplined country

A beautifully decorated avenue … unfortunately I’ve never been to Singapore
You must go there one day. It is a clean and neat country
I have been to Singapore , but I found singa is very expensive

I never travel around Christmas time. But this scene is so lovely.
It is worth once in a while as different countries have their own style.
Memories of that trip are so vivid in my mind. What a place that was!!!
