We are off to the races. It is going to be very different. We are certain. In fact, it’s bound to be a mess as they try to make allowances to keep people safe. I am taking three different types of masks with me in hopes that if I change them up enough I will find some kind of comfort! The government official who said we should probably skip opening day because it will be a mess. I am certain it will be and it will be the only way we have it figured out for the next day!
I am hoping that some of my favorite jockeys will be there. I do love to cheer for them. Of course, as soon as we get home we have to hose down outside and then dash in the basement for a good shower and cleaning. We have to keep my brother safe.

have a blast – sounds like a great day and you deserve some fun!
The first day they didn’t have the music turned on. You know they heard about that from me. The second day and fantastic.
i am so happy to hear that. I hope there was a huge smile on your face day 2!
Be careful!!! Covid is a very dangerous enemy. I hope you have had a great time. I have never seen a horse racing. Enjoy
We were very careful. A track where there are usually thousands had a limited number. Everyone had a temperature check to get in. Everyone was required to wear masks and gloves. It was very different and we all enjoyed getting out and enjoying it, even if we were more than 6ft apart and covered up.
Enjoy and be safe. Masks and distance yourself. 🙂
It was amazing. They were so prepared to make certain we were safe. Everyone had a temperature check. Everyone was over 6 feet apart. They had technology so you could if you wanted to use a headset to talk to three people who you might have come with. They were so prepared to try and take extra care.
I don’t know if it’s the best choice to go to the race in these conditions, but if you take safety measures then go and have fun!
We were prepared to stay away if the conditions were not right, and they did an amazing job. Temperature checks, maks, gloves, technology that helped. Social distancing wasn’t just a choice the seating had been taken away – you couldn’t get with in even 10 ft of anyone. I am certain the only money they are making are the donations over and above they received by those of us who are so grateful for all the work they did – so we could have a not so normal, but great time.
