This is a photo of part of the salt pans in Torrevieja Spain.
In 1482 a canal was built to bring seawater to them. Their level is below sea level and this facilitates project implementation. Later, a canal was built and next to the “green” lagoon.
Salt production is gradually becoming an entire industry that is booming. Even today, one can see the “mountains” of salt produced, which are transported to the port, loaded onto ships and shipped to many countries around the world.

I have never seen a salt pan before, this is very interesting.
In our country we have salt pans, but they are much smaller than the ones in the picture.

We have salt pans in Slovenia … I have just as much sea that we have salt pans …. but not as big
