I have quite a few medicinal plants in my garden.
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) is very attractive to bees and strengthens their health, which is not strange at all. The word melissa in Greek means bee.
Lemon balm is very easy to grow even indoors. Fresh or dried, it is suitable for salads, sauces, and as an addition to many dishes. From it, we prepare herbal vinegar, tea, and add it to the bath for relaxation. Lemon balm is used against headaches and nervousness.
The healing properties attributed to lemon balm by ancient healers have been confirmed by scientific medicine. It works for digestive problems, such as indigestion, too much acid, nausea, and cramps. It is a mild sedative that helps with sadness, anxiety, depression, laziness, stress, insomnia, migraines, depression, and irritability. Lemon balm tea should be used by people who are facing difficult tests – for example, students before exams. It will help them gather thoughts and solidify their memory.
I use lemon balm for tea and juice.

When I get time, I will look for it.
i cannot say I’ve ever used the balm, but your description of the benefits made me curious. Adding it to my shopping list!
🙂
I’m glad I convinced you. 😊 I hope you like it.
i am always open to new ideas! thanks for helping me see another option.
I see that we are similar in this. I also try new things and then decide if they are good or not.
my dad always taught me to understand my position and what I like, but always make sure I know there is another side!
Lovely plant. I have wild mint grown for us and the cats.
Thank you. I remember your cats adore mint.
Nice looking plant. I have heard of lemon balm. Since it attracts bees perhaps it can be nicknamed the buzz plant.
I adore this plant. I really like tea.
