My Thoughts on Comments

I believe there is a minimum number characters to ensure that the comment has valuable and relevant information. I don’t believe that (….) should be used to up the count. I believe that would be abusing the system.

Emojis have become part of the speech of many people. I think an emoji can add flavor, after you have made a relevant comment. It can be an add on that may serve a purpose.

I DON’T SPEAK FOR THE SITE. I DON’T TELL PEOPLE HOW THINGS WORK, THAT IS NOT MY PLACE. THAT BELONGS TO STAFF.

If would like you enhance your comments with an emoji this is where I go to find mine.

  1. I tend to weigh the punctuation and emojis I use, and I prefer to use words to reach the amount of characters required, than punctuation or emojis.
Commenting isn’t all about sharing valuable or relevant information, otherwise there would be way less comments. It’s sometimes about manners.
    Then, what’s the difference between:
    – thank you very much!
    and
    – thanks a lot!!!!!!!!
It may take some study to use at least 20 characters, but it’s possible.
At the same time, there can also be long comments that mean nothing.
But I totally get your point. ?

Emojis help with giving a mood or tone to a message, I’m definitely pro-emoji. ?
I just right-click on the text box and choose ’emoji’ in the drop-down menu, but it can be useful to check external sites when you’re unable to find specific symbols, or know the meaning of some.

  2. What I think would be great is that we had the emoticons right here under the comments to choose from. Thank you for the list. I would also like it if we could have the option to edit out comments if we make a mistake. ?

  3. I use emojis quite a bit. Its a habit with me. There are rarely instances when I don’t have enough to say to meet the minimum character requirement.
