My daily picture – Sun flares

When I started to learn the first notions about photography, someone told me to take care not to break the basic rules:

– rule of thirds,

– straight horizon,

– subject in focus,

– not to shoot against the sun, and if I do that , I have to avoid sun flares and so for…

But you know how it is said. Sometimes you have to take the risk and break the rules. It’s what I did in this photo! I took this photo against the sun and I’ve been looking to get many sun flares! And you know what?  I love the result!

  1. I think of photography as a form of art. Unless you’re taking professional portraits, it’s all about your intentions, and personal taste. Rules become unimportant. ?
The sun, and light in general, can offer great opportunities.
I like the sun flares! It looks like it’s raining light and colors, beautiful shot! ?

  2. I love the result too. In my kind of climate I often have to take pictures in very bright light or against the sun.

  3. the rules are just a framework. once you understand why the rules are there and you understand what happens when you discard them it is fine to break the rules

  4. Amazing and stunning picture taking. I just love the violet hues coming off of it. Thank God you broke the rule on this one as it is a perfect picture of a stunning quiet park walkway.
