To be happy as a retired person, I need to do something to fill my time. Not every kind of activity, but one that will keep me anchored in life. When I do such an activity, I feel like I have a purpose, a destination to reach. I remember when I retired, I almost went into depression. I found my balance by making kanzashi flowers. Hundreds of flowers that are now “thrown” somewhere in the house. I never sold them even though I had a few orders. After a year I received my first compact, a Samsung St500 and from here the madness with photography began! I remembered this because a few years ago on this day of November, I started my beautiful life of … retired.
In the first photo you can see a special place where pensioners meet and play chess. In the second photo is the photographer and her assistant!

What a wonderful and sad story. The transition from working to retirement is hard. I am glad you were able to make that transition.
I am also glad you got that camera!
hope you enjoyed there ………..
I had a lot of fun taking photos!
Whenever I go out I always have my digital camera. I love taking photos. Maya is standing guard by you and she is so cute,
The camera is the permanent “accessory” in my backpack.
Maya is my daily dose of zoo vitamin.?
I agree, I think it’s very important to have activities that you enjoy when you retire. I love the picture. The little dog is too cute!
I have always tried to do what I enjoy.
Little Maya is like your service and therapy dog. She helps you, and you also help her.
Maya came into my life 7 years ago
Since then we are together every day
Such a happy couple you two make!
I’m “The Lady with the Dog”!??
I am the Cat Lady these days… Crazy Cat Lady. 🙂 I miss my dogs.
