If you’ve seen my chibi swordmaiden, then perhaps you’d care to lend me a hand? While I am planning to do all three (possibly more besides) but I have to start somewhere. Which one is the best?
Also, notice the background is done in watercolor; the girl can also be done in watercolor but should she?

I would have to see it before I could decide

Hmmm… it’s rather difficult for me to decide which one is favorite because the three are special. For the unique hair and cool skin color, and sparkling eyes, I gave 38% of the votes for Pictish, 33% for the total RPG uniqueness, and the rest for Norse.
For the background, smaller paint sparks might be more suitable for my eyes.
I might do all three of them, but it is looking like I will start with our little pict
All three are good to develop!
I would like to get the pict done before I really switch gears
Surely it doesn’t take too long to do it, right?
I just need to remember to squeeze her into my workflow
Honestly Carol is right! A darker background would set them all better
I dunno, seems like lack of contrast would be an issue. I will have to try it and see…
They are all lovely, but your Pictish one is the star. Also, with respect to Carol, I do very much like the generalized WC background, especially on the Pictish one.
they all have the same background
Duh, of course they do, but it is so becoming on the Pictish one and to me, perhaps, less noticeable on the others. Background do not have to be hidden.
I don’t want them hidden, but I don’t want them to compete with the foreground either…
If you put tattoos in a separate layer and then didn’t like them you could just take them off with one gesture, right? Why not see how they would look?
I am always honest with you. I love all three pieces. But I personally do not like the background. I would go with darker colors instead of the lighter watercolor background. Maybe a lighter (white) background with splashes of dark colors. Hope that makes sense.
I appreciate your honesty
I hope so. Trying to help.
You’ve helped out plenty of my pieces. I might not always follow your advice but I always listen to it…
It’s my favorite Pictish.
She does have a very fun design
