Let’s talk Asylum

Asylum requires that the person “demonstrate [they] have suffered persecution or fear that they will suffer persecution due to” five factors: race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.”

Coming into the United States does not solve any of problems listed here. I am here and a legal citizen and I can experience fear that I will suffer because of all these reasons.  I have been called out, bullied, threatened based on these things. Being in the United States does not solve these issues. There are bad people in every country. There are good people that may resent them coming in without all the proper paperwork being completed first.

The bottom line, is their life may not be any better here.
