These poachers are the bane of Africa’s last remaining wildlife. But this forgiving albino elephant baby, trapped in a vicious snare, set by the man creatures and left for several days without water or food, near death from thirst and hunger and seriously injured, needs to try and forgive and trust men again. Khanyisa – is an extremely rare albino elephant calf, who didn’t stand a chance of survival at just six months old wandering through the deadly African bush.
Not being able to free her from the dreaded snare wire, cutting into the tender flesh of her face, her mother and the herd finally abandoned her, leaving her in her weakened state, to fight the elements all alone. Finally, with desperation and a will to live, she braced her little body against the power of the snare, feeing it tare through her skin, she was free! Mercifully, with a little help from some less dangerous man creatures, friends, she’s now on the long road to recovery. watch her harrowing tale at the hands of poachers below.

Do you have any comments about the growing threat of poaching?

I despise poachers and hate all they do, If possible I think that if caught the poachers should be tortured the same way they torcher animals.
The subject is too heartbreaking for me to even comment on.
It’s sad how men can be beastly and are one of the major causes of animal extinction. From lions to rhinos to elephants, we are witnessing a large exit of animal species.
It makes me ill that there are some African governments that allow Game hunting.
poaching is such a horrible thing. such a sad story.
Not only the elephants are the victims of poaching… poaching caused the extinction of one of the species of the Black Rhino just a few years ago.
Ivory really made me laugh ….. unfortunately you also have such people on this planet …. you probably still have a lot of poachers
