at the edges of the sky
the lights twinkle.
Each one the eye
of a luna moth
rising into the air
to fall back to the ground
captured by gravity
and reminded of its pull.
Cutting through the water
and pulling toward the sky
towards the twinkling lights
as if the breath
the wind
the air
pulling the twinkles from the sky.
Do you hear the whisper
as the luna moth’s fall
and the twinkles
touch the water
and disappear.

I have yet to see a luna moth but I did see countless twinkle of light over water. Simply mesmerizing especially during sunrise or sunset. I like it best when such is created by natural light. Although I also love the ones made by electrical lights like the ones in harbor areas. That said, I just watched one last night in Guangzhou.
Nice! There is a magic in the lights dancing!
