Although the answer is different for everyone, no one needs to wash their hair daily. Washing your hair often can actually do more harm than good.
It really is a paradox, but whoever washes his/her hair often in an attempt to prevent the appearance of oiliness ends up drying the scalp, which defends itself producing more oil – it is a vicious cycle!
In addition to avoiding washing the follicles daily, there are other points to keep in mind when trying to determine the right number of washes. Keep these three factors in mind:
1- The skin type – If your skin and hair are normal to dry (not super oily or super dry) then you should probably just wash the hair once or twice a week, according to a health column posted by Columbia University. However, if your scalp is oily, you should probably wash it more often.
2- Hair texture – The texture is a determining factor because it affects how fast the tallow spreads the roots by length. Curly or curly hair slows the spread of sebum, so if your hair is of this type, most certainly you need to wash it only once a week.On the other hand, people with thin or straight wires probably need to wash it at least twice a week or more.
3- The styling – Another thing not to ignore is ‘what’ you do to your hair, particularly if you paint it, apply beauty and styling products, such as foam or gel, if you smooth or curl it. If your hair is processed or damaged then you should wash it as little as possible.

My hair is a mess, doesn’t matter what I do with it
I really don’t know the answer and I think Carol should write a post about it so I would know!
It depends on what type of hair you have.
