In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, we need to review our habits. And there are some who may be weakening our immune system.
Biting your nails – In addition to being sick because of the dirt that accumulates under the nails, anxiety, stress and other mental health conditions are often the cause. Chronic stress results in the dysregulation of the immune system.
Sleeps less than you need to – Do you suffer from insomnia? When sleep deprivation becomes chronic, it is associated with metabolic syndrome, a group of conditions that increase the risk of heart disease and diabetes and also damage the cells that make up the immune system.
Poor oral hygiene – The link between good oral health and general health is now well established. Poor oral health is associated with the development of gum disease – gingivitis and periodontal disease. This causes an inflammatory reaction, which becomes long-lasting, affecting the immune system.

Useful info. When I was much younger I used to bit my nails. I eventually stopped biting them and just started peeling them off. What is wrong with me??!!
Yes, this is useful and interesting. Stress is very bad for the immune system. Drinking alcohol and eating too much sugar is very bad too, but eating garlic and onion is good.
Biting nails is one habit I hate. Thankfully I don’t have any of these problems.
I am fine with sleep but I think I should exercise more.
It is my bad habit to sleep too little.
My problem is not sleep enough.
Great tips you have offered. I’m guilty of sleeping less right now.
Unfortunately, I have insufficient sleep. There are days when my body wants more.
