A Threw back.
Rice cake is the traditional snack during the Chinese New Year.
Malaysia Chinese would make the sweet rice cake while the Korean is making those plain one.
We love to cut the rice cake into slides and fry it as a kind of snack or “cake” to be served during tea break.

you love rice? fried rice?
This is the sweet type, Korean has the plain one, not sweet at all.
I have not tried the sweet type of rice yet. But I suppose it must be very good for cakes.
Never had this food before.
I see, a traditional dessert for local Chinese.
They really look good I would try them.
Great, put in your list!
i remember this from my trips to KL. 🙂
Did you try it during your KL trip?
yes I did, had them in a restaurant just a short walk from the KLCC
Great! I never buy in in the restaurant, some stalls by the street sell the deep fried type, will show later how it look like.
we did get at various times from street vendors, but there are not many near KLCC or Petronas Towers (street vendors)
This fried rice cake is new to me. Is it a snack food?
Something like dessert.
