Love ItLove It

Friday evening

Here we are again entering a new weekend. What it will be is for us to decide. Because bad news, bad weather, bad people, bad coming Mondays, bad hairstyles, the bad mood can happen again. Or not.

That’s life with all its drawbacks.

The only salvation in this whole life’s swamp is jumping through it, changing your approach to many things and thinking to yourself that this is not a global tragedy and not even a problem, that everything will somehow be solved somehow.

Not to run away from negative thoughts and emotions, but to understand, digest and transform them: anger into energy and action, sadness into peace and meditation, hopelessness into discovery of something new, self-knowledge, and waiting for a miracle, and if you are not feeling being loved – transform this feeling to the perception that you are full even being alone and only you can make yourself happy.

Somewhere I heard a description of a lucky man who stuck with me: lucky one who, even when lost, manages to admire the landscape.

So let’s enjoy the new weekend, which has just hugged us and promises a lot. And remember: your attitude is a bridge to happiness.

  1. I guess library duty is a pleasant time for you. I would love having such a time. In childhood, I wanted to become a librarian, was so in love with books and thought books are separate from the library as I never bought them being a child. Enjoy your weekend.

  2. Weekend plans? Probably another library duty on Saturday morning, and a visit from a telephone engineer in the afternoon to sort out our broadband, which is not performing as it should. On Sunday a longish dog-walk in the morning followed by as little as possible in the afternoon!

I almost forgot – there’s a quiz at the library this evening, which should get the weekend off to an entertaining start!

      • I organise the volunteer rota at my local public library, which has been run by volunteers for the past four years as a result of government cuts to local authorities. This is becoming increasingly difficult due to the fact that not enough volunteers are coming forward, and I often find myself having to fill in blank spaces on the rota. I wrote my previous answer while in the library, doing a fill-in duty, and was expecting to have to do so again today. However, somebody has come to the rescue at short notice!
