When my children send photos of the beautiful places they live I am sometimes reminded of John Rutter’s joyful hymn of praise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVQFEgT7E6c
The photo is from Kelly Lake in Alaska. Though I’ve visited the state I’ve not been to this spot. The photo details may not come through well but I think you can see how beautiful the area is. It looks so solid, but that appearance is a stark contrast to the fact that the region is unpredictable.
Prone to earthquakes and volcanoes it is a reminder that this life has many highs and lows. How thankful I am to know what the Creator tells me in His Word. The verse quote with the photo is from an ESV Bible.

Beautiful country … I was not in Alaska
Yes it is! I hope you get to visit this state one day.
This verse is a great one to ponder upon. great one!
Thank you for checking this post out. It is a wonderful thing to purposefully stop and think about the beauty of creation.
Love the perspective of this post, great photo. Yes, Auckland has at least 52 volcanoes but they are dormant.
Thanks so much for adding your feedback to this post. Beautiful Auckland! As with some other places, the breathtaking scenery belies what lies beneath.
Never been but would love to go some day
I hope you can go one day. It is a beautiful and interesting place.
This is a beautiful photo and verse. Never been to Alaksa… yet!
Thank you very much. Hopefully you will get to go one day. It’s well worth a trip, especially the areas around Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula. A fun day trip is the The Coastal Classic Train.
