POTD December 28, 2019
This was taken yesterday morning. I got up around five as usual. It was a cold morning. Colder than any that I can remember in this place.
We still have no electricity due to the typhoon Ursula. So the neighborhood is still dark.
I looked outside the window. It was still dark, but dawn was already breaking. I was amazed by the thick fog that blanketed the whole area.
I don’t remember seeing fog as thick as this in this area before. I felt like I was transported to another place.
The fog limited visibility for a few meters. In the photo, there are houses behind the trees about 10 15 meters away. You can’t see them in this photo.
I remember seeing fog as thick in two places here in the Philippines. Both were high-altitude places. We are currently in a flatlands two kilometers away from the shore.

Lovely photos of the fog, we rarely see fog. I hope things are getting as close to normal as possible.
Thanks, Carol. For one we have electricity again. At least we won’t have a dark new year. 😀
it is a rare thing here to see fog. I somehow like fogs, they are mysterious.
Mysterious is the word… but some times it reminds me of the horror movies The Fog and the Mist. *grin*
nice shots, we get fog often this time of year!
You must be in a cold area… It’s usually warm here… so it’s a rare occasion to have fog..
we are really near rivers and the ocean when the air is cooler than the water you get fog! The reverse is also rue (when the air is much hotter than the water)!
It is foggy with us at home …. many times, even in winter, it can be foggy all morning … I hope that your situation will soon normalize soon
Thanks, Iado. Yeah, slowly, things are getting back to normal…
We rarely get fog here. Hope everything will get to normal in your area.
Thanks, Grace. Yes, slowly, things are getting back to normal. We have lights now. Thank God.
