I took this photo in my rather wild and neglected garden today. There are at least three different plants represented in it. The small blossoms are shown here close to their true size. Their leaves are hard to see because the other plants in the photo are hiding them. .
Do you know the names of any of these plants? If you do, please name as many as you know in the comments or make a guess if you don’t know. The answers to the questions are a bit subjective. The answer depends on how you view the plants, not what a book says. I’m looking for your opinions, not what some book considers the correct answer. So I would welcome your reasons for choosing the answers you make. I love knowing what you think.

I don’t know much about gardening. I guess plants that haven’t been planted on purpose are weeds, but I love everything green and everything that blooms. These tine blossoms are lovely.
Well you know I am not good at this type of thing. Just about everything that looks pretty is a flower to me.
And, of course, it is a flower. It’s just a tiny flower that often grows where some people don’t want it to grow.
Very pretty blossom on it. Kind of looks like a weed to me. Still is pretty
You will find it shown as a weed in some gardening books, but I tend to let it stay because it’s a pretty weed. I consider it more of a wildflower.
Yes I would, I do love wildflowers.
Yet many people consider wildflowers weeds because they didn’t plant them.
It treats stomach problems, but can be very poisonous. I bet Rex Truelove would know the broad leafed one.
I think I’ll just enjoy looking at it for now. I don’t like playing with anything that even might be toxic. So far Rex hasn’t been here.
Didn’t know about a scarlet pimpernel, when I looked at your photo, it seemed to me that there are woodland strawberry flowers. Very interesting question & super photo!!!
Looks like you got your answer from Kim.
She got the blossom name right and taught me something I didn’t know about it.
I recognize the flower, its a scarlet pimpernel, and is a medicinal herb. The broad leaf is probably a type of lettuce?
I had no idea it was a medicinal herb. What is it used for? The broad leaf is not lettuce. It has appeared in another post or two I’ve made here.
