The conversation and choices about food that will be served at the fair went from something I am familiar with to many, what I considered outlandish options. It makes me very curious what people here might consider trying or what they have tried.
I did not make up the list. I took the items from several different fair menus. I don’t understand how they do it all, but there were pictures and I assume that they were available since they are advertized on their menus.

Deep-fried Oreos, deep-fried twinkies, all are delightful. But only once a year!
Really, maybe I will have to try the Oreos.
they are worth it, once a year!
Can ice cream be fried ?
Yes, I have it quite often in a local Mexican Restaurant. They freeze the ice cream in a hard ball. Roll it in caramel sauce and then some kind of crunch stuff (maybe cereal) and drop it in just long enough to get a crispy outside, warm caramel and cold ice cream.
That corn dog in the picture was my favorite when I was a teenager.
One of my grandsons is fond of those as well.
You can find most anything fried at the fairs.
Well I am stopping by one tomorrow so I will look around.
