It used to be a different cuisine every day but looking at our pets who eat the same food 365 days in the year and still wait for their meals and eat with relish I cut back on this every day different food saga and eat more or less the same food atleast for 3 days in a row.
What you see in the photo is the lunch which has rice, curry, salad and a cutlet. We are doing fine with this routine.
So much time is saved which is now used by our maid to attend to gardening and housekeeping. My supervision time in the kitchen is reduced which I spend here at Virily

I cook on my own and do it daily. I try to eat as much food as possible.
We used to cook 3 meals a day and then I realised that a lot of time is spent there. There are other things such as fruits, and snacks
I do not have an appetite the same every day. Mostly light meals.
When left overs are steamed they get the same freshness
Being all alone I rarely cook for myself except to boil pasta, rice, or potatoes, Some meals come from cans or frozen food,
Our kitchen used to buzz with activity but I realised all that is really not necessary Steaming food is as good as eating fresh food.
I don’t cook every day either, it has always been like that in my family. If I want variation, I might add or remove something from the dish for a particular meal and I still enjoy my food.
Our kitchen was always busy but I realised that it was really not necessary. The fridge and the steaming of left overs solves the problem.
By no means would I be able to eat the same food everyday, dear Grace … the food has to be as diverse as possible
