Holly bushes are another favorite evergreen in my yard. The green shiny leaves are seen year round. I have them all around my house. In the spring, the bees visit. There are tiny blooms for only a couple of weeks they are seeking. They return each spring to find the nectar of these blooms.
Nature is so amazing. Some never even notice the tiny blooms on the evergreen shrubs. The bees know when the blooms are there and they return each year. I am not afraid of them. I move slowly with the camera and then leave them alone.
Evergreen plants are my favorite. I enjoy seeing the green all year in my yard and garden.

Actually we do not appreciate the beauty of ever green plants here, as in the tropics all plants and trees are green throughout the year.
That is great Dawn. Not the same here in the US. You are lucky.
Beautiful plant. This is a true paradise for bees.
Thanks, I like the holly bushes, and the bees do too.
beautiful picture, dear friend … I see a bee just do not know what works on green leaves …. maybe even smaller flowers?
No, the flowers are white but you cannot see them well here, the bee is covering them up.
And that’s what I … strangely it seemed to me that the bee would just stop on green leaves
There is no nectar on the leaves for the bee. There is a bloom under him you cannot see in the photo.
Love the photo bee and all. Not sure I voted, but not taking a chance of a down vote.
Thanks! They know about the blooms before I see them.
.. I downvoted a post by accident yesterday, It is easy to do.
The leaves are very glossy and thick. What the bee gets from them.
Yes they are and are evergreen, one of my favorites. Like I said above, they produce flowers.
