Love ItLove It

Do you see what I see?

Well it isn’t an appropriate moment to be filmed, but then I was taking pictures of the Alamandas and on this tin,y branch above them I saw these cabbage butterflies. I could have cropped it and presented it to you but I like the whole picture.

At first I thought they were yellowing leaves before I realized that they were moving and looked nothing like the leaves. The cabbage butterflies are very common here. The spoil all our cabbage , broccoli and cauliflower crops. They lay hundreds of eggs under the broad leaves and in no time hundreds of caterpillars crawl around eating the leaves ,  they don’t stop there, they get right into the heart of the cabbages and eat through them until they are ready to become pupae.

I have such a love hate relationship with them as the spoil my cruciferous vegetables.
