Back in the summer I was walking outside on our property here in the country. My husband had just mowed the field the day before and I was just out for a little stroll. I happened upon the nest in the photo. We observed the next for several days to see if a critter would come back to it but didn’t catch anyone in the act.
The eggs are very tiny and there were a total of around six if memory serves me correctly.
Do you know what kind of eggs these are? Please vote below and I will reveal the answer once there are at least a dozen guesses in a reply or new post.

I hadn’t either and would have liked for her to have laid them somewhere else! I do not like snakes!
They could be snake eggs or maybe turtle eggs.
You are correct! They were snake eggs. I’m glad we found them and destroyed them before they hatched. I don’t like snakes at all.
There were two things that occurred to me, a lizard or a type of dinosaur.
Dinosaur would be a bit drastic in these days, but interesting guess. I hadn’t even thought of lizards, but a good guess! They were indeed snake eggs 🙁
Very interesting! I have never even seen snake eggs, or a snake laying eggs with my own eyes even though I ever have raised many snakes at home.
my guess is either bird eggs or alligator eggs!
I thought alligators gave live birth. I wouldn’t want them either. They were snake eggs.
alligators also lay eggs. 🙂 I am not sure many would hang out near snake eggs, in case momma came back.
I guess its some birds eggs. I hope it is not snake’s eggs.
Hey you’ve got to tell us what eggs these are .. lol I am Curious.
I’m still watching Dawn and waiting on just a couple more guesses. I’m not going to leave you all in the dark!!
Well they were snake eggs! We ended up destroying the eggs by putting them in the burn pike and burning them up! Don’t need baby snakes!
I have no idea what kind of eggs they are. I wonder why they were left behind and no one is watching them,
They were snake eggs so that is why nobody was watching the nest. They lay and go on with life.
I do not know for sure, may birds or may snakes?
They were indeed snake eggs and we destroyed them.
Some birds and a lot of snakes lay eggs on top of the ground.
Yep, you guessed right on snake eggs, Carol! We destroyed them. Don’t need more snakes around here.
I really wouldn’t know whose eggs it would be, but I decided that these were snake eggs
Bingo! You guessed right! They were snake eggs.
I have no idea, but voted for turtle just for fun.
I wish they were turtle eggs. They were snake eggs 🙁
Oh wow! I have never seen snake eggs before.
